Sidney is an Associate at Lowercarbon Capital, where she supports entrepreneurs building climate technologies in service of healthier, more secure, and more prosperous societies. Her work at Lowercarbon focuses on supporting the Partners with investment diligence and bringing resources to bear to help the portfolio thrive.
Prior to Lowercarbon, Sidney worked with venture-backed businesses to deliver outsized impact. As part of ICONIQ Capital’s technology investing team, she sourced and analyzed investments in industry-defining software and internet businesses. She then shifted from investing to operating, as Chief of Staff to the CEO of Oatly. In this cross-functional and global role, she helped lead the company’s billion-dollar IPO, supported the executive team on strategy formulation, and launched an internal innovation lab focused on pushing the limits of corporate sustainability. She has a field-tested passion for helping founders tackle growth challenges as they fundamentally transform industries.
Sidney graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in the Science, Technology, and Society interdisciplinary program, covering broad academic ground, from the history of science, to mechanical engineering, to the discography of her favorite artist, Prince. She grew up playing competitive sports in Florida and California, a path that ultimately led to a volleyball scholarship at #1 ranked Stanford (go Cardinal!). Sidney’s deep love of team dynamics is a passion she brings to her work at Lowercarbon today. She is based in Los Angeles, where you can find her outside enjoying the sunshine every chance she gets.
