Melissa is the SVP of Finance at Lowercarbon, where she oversees accounting, tax matters, administration, compliance, investor reporting, and other major operational functions across the full breadth of Lowercarbon’s assets under management.

Prior to joining Lowercarbon, Melissa was the Controller at ArcLight Capital, a private equity firm focused on energy and energy infrastructure. During her six years at ArcLight Capital, Melissa oversaw fund accounting, international & investor reporting, and compliance workstreams.

Melissa began her career at Lindsay Goldberg, a private equity fund focused on leveraged buyout and growth capital investments in middle-market companies. Over four years, she held various accounting positions, including overseeing family office initiatives.

Before her time at ArcLight Capital, Melissa was at Apax Partners, a global leveraged buyout private equity firm headquartered in London. Melissa joined as an Assistant Controller and transitioned on to the transaction service team, assisting with the stimulating challenge of problem solving on deals.

Melissa volunteers with Read to a Child, mentoring and reading one-on-one to elementary students at an under-resourced school in Boston. She also volunteers with Best Buddies and The Opportunity Network, which helps ignite the drive, curiosity, and agency of underrepresented students on their paths to college and into thriving careers.

Melissa is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated from Providence College with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a minor in Finance. In her free time, Melissa can be found running outside with her dog or spending time by the ocean paddle boarding and boating. She also enjoys traveling, reading historical fiction, cooking vegan food, yoga, hiking, and biking. Melissa is based in Boston, MA.
